The riots in London have escalated across the city – from north to south. The Capital is in chaos. The people are in fear. The destructive power of the rioters has reminded us of the vulnerability of our ability to protect our own space and how easy it can be to destroy it without a second of hesitation.

Regardless to whether it is a private or public space, there is no difference when it comes to destruction by rioters in voicing their anger and projecting their violence.

There is another aspect of the concept of space I almost forgot to consider. That is the space between two people who are surrounded by the same physical presence. The chemistry and energy in the space between people is dynamic and ever changing. I am not to make a claim what this space between people entails but my assertion would be that such space is significant for the establishment of people’s relationships with one another.
